The Original Pilkington Family: Happy, Happy Birthday Darcey Dear...

Well today is Darcey's 8th birthday, where has the time gone? Darcey has been gearing up for her birthday for quite some time now, and having mine and Tiarni's birthdays right before hers, only got her more excited about her own birthday.

Darcey is our little princess/rock star. As she says, she has a 'passion for fashion'. Darcey and I have very different tastes in fashion and can often be heard debating over what she can wear together. She loves to get dressed up with all her accessories and can't wait till she is 10 when she can get her ears pierced. Darcey also loves to sing and can be heard often belting out the tunes in her room, she loves anything to do with Hannah Montana, High School Musical and Camp Rock. Darcey also loves sport. It amazes me how much she loves to run. She runs just for the sake of running and at school she does really well in cross country. You can often find her outside just running laps of the backyard just to see how fast she can go. She has also developed a great love of basketball and is keen to play next term when her swimming lessons have finished, she has been practising her dribbling for most of this term (she stands outside the kitchen window for ages just bouncing the ball) and she is so good now! Darcey got her very own basketball from Uncle Conor and Aunty Karien for her bday and she loves it! She is also still doing girl guides and has been successful in bringing a friend from school and a friend from church along who have both now joined.

Darcey has an infectious personality and people just seem to be drawn to her. She tries so hard to be a good friend and has a clear perception of what is right and what is wrong. Darcey is so beautiful and she has a smile that lights up her face, we are so proud of you Darcey! We love you, Happy Birthday!!
